MEET THE MAKER

Hi, I'm Cenna 👋

I'm the face behind CENNA — and yes, I'm the one you'll find covered in bits of silver dust, surrounded by tools and probably making just one more thing at the bench. 😂

I've loved jewellery for as long as I can remember. When I was little, one of my favourite things was visiting my Nan and heading straight upstairs to rummage through her jewellery box. I'd try everything on, dance around in front of the mirror and feel like an absolute princess.

It didn't really matter whether it was costume jewellery or something precious. I was fascinated by it all — the sparkle, the details, the textures and, most importantly, how each piece had been made.

That fascination eventually turned into something much bigger.

I studied Art and Design at college before going on to study metalwork and jewellery design at university. Since then I've travelled, collected inspiration from all sorts of places and eventually found myself exactly where I'd always wanted to be — in my own workshop, making jewellery.

I'm particularly obsessed with texture, pattern and little details. I love taking a piece of silver and hammering, shaping, stamping and finishing it until it becomes something completely different. You'll see those details running throughout CENNA.

And then there are the gemstones. 💎

I love the colour, character and individuality they bring to a piece. No two natural stones are ever quite the same, which is part of what makes them so special.

What I love most about making jewellery is knowing that something I've created is going to become part of somebody else's story — whether it's a little treat for yourself, a gift for someone you love or a keepsake that means something much bigger.

So that's me. The person behind the jewellery, the messy workbench and probably far too many tools. 😂
